In todays global market space supporting the decision making process through validated information is a highly critical business differentiator. At the BICP, we believe that the “Thinking like a Retailer” approach provides an integrated consumer driven Retail, Supply Chain and Finance view that enables companies to make proactive and holistic decisions enabled through BI solutions. We have implemented BI solutions at major Global Brands allowing our clients to have more accurate visibility into their brand sales performance, providing more information about consumer information such as retention rates, supporting the Material and Assortment Planning process, as well as helping with streamlining their SOP processes.
The complex nature of the “Thinking like a Retailer” approach also influences companies’ BI tool portfolio. Some of our clients operate in a SAP “pure-play” tool environment whereas other clients operate in a mixed software vendor environment driven by business demands or historical purchase decisions. Depending on our clients’ environments we implemented Retail and “On-Line” BI solutions leveraging SAP BW, SAP Point of Sale Data Mart (POSDM), SAP Business Objects, and Oracle/Cognos technologies.
