BICP partnered with the client’s enterprise analytics organization to support the reporting and analytics component of its North America transformation from SAP ECC & SAPR to S/4HANA and S/4 Fashion. This transformation required the retirement of deeply embedded analytics and reporting platforms including BW, Business Objects, Cognos, and Teradata which created significant risk to business-critical reporting, planning, and decision-making across the organization.

As legacy reporting platforms were being retired, BICP provided the expertise and delivery capacity required to redesign and remediate the enterprise analytics ecosystem, ensuring business-critical reporting and decision-making capabilities were preserved and modernized throughout the transition. Our objective was to ensure zero disruption to critical business insights while modernizing the analytics ecosystem to fully support the new S/4HANA environment.

BICP deployed our Resource Capacity Services (RCS) engagement model that allowed the client to scale delivery support in a controlled and efficient manner throughout the transformation. Rather than deploying a large consulting team upfront, we gradually ramped our experts based on the specific needs of each analytics group and project phase. This flexible model ensured the right expertise was available at the right time, allowing the business and internal teams to adapt at a sustainable pace while maintaining progress across critical workstreams. The result was a more efficient delivery model that reduced unnecessary consulting spend while maximizing impact and collaboration with the client’s existing teams.

Working closely with the client, BICP helped design and implement a modern, scalable analytics architecture leveraging AWS, Snowflake, Alteryx and Tableau. This architecture allowed the organization to efficiently ingest and harmonize new S/4HANA data sources while delivering powerful, flexible analytics capabilities to business users. The initiative focused on several key workstreams, including retail reporting remediation and modernization, the transition of sales, inventory and planning analytics from legacy Cognos and Teradata environments, and remediation of marketplace reporting. BICP also led the modernization of legacy analytics tools and supported the transition of enterprise analytics to new S/4HANA data structures and datasets.

Throughout the program, BICP delivered end-to-end capabilities including current state analysis, use case prioritization, and solution architecture design. Our team developed business ready semantic layers and enterprise data objects, built both enterprise and ad-hoc reporting products, and conducted comprehensive unit, regression, and user acceptance testing. In addition, we supported training, documentation, and change management to ensure business adoption, followed by post–go-live stabilization and hyper-care support to ensure a smooth transition into the new analytics environment.

By combining deep domain expertise with modern analytics technologies, BICP enabled the client to successfully modernize its analytics ecosystem while protecting the critical insights and decision-making capabilities that power its retail and marketplace operations.
